Innovative Solutions Director

In this sense, Innovative Solutions represent an opportunity to improve processes of the clinical pathway within the Healthcare System, always with a clear focus on fostering a sustainable transformation. This role will be responsible for defining and implementing an Innovative Solutions strategy to work hand by hand with the Healthcare System to achieve this goal.

This role will also lead the mindset change within the organization to ensure that the latest trends and innovation methodologies are applied, ensuring material impact for the company

RESPONSIBILITIES

Innovation Strategy & partnerhsips

• Defines GSK Spain Innovative solutions strategy and ensures its implementation across the organization
• Ensures that the Innovative Solutions strategy is aligned with Marketing, Market Access and Medical strategy
• Manages the relationship of GSK Spain with key external Innovation partners and fosters the establishment of new partnerships
• Leads and coordinates the presence of GSK Spain on Innovation / Health Innovation events (South Summit, 4YFN, Health Revolution Congress...)
• Ensures the whole team is constantly updated on latest health innovation and tech trends on health innovation.
• Participates in external events ensuring the positioning of the company on Digital Health, aligned with GSK strategy
• Works in close collaboration with Market Access and Governmental Affairs teams to map key stakeholders in the Digital Health space in Spain
• Works in close collaboration with Comms team to build a strong communication plan on Innovation, ensuring the positioning of the company aligned to our strategy
• Participates in key external forums to ensure GSK positioning on the Innovation space

Innovative Solutions deployment

• Identifies opportunities for Innovation within HCOs and regions
• ​ Leads the design and implementation of Innovative Solutions that address prioritized pain points in the clinical pathway.
• Identifies commonalities across solutions and coordinates the Innovation Partners to ensure that cross-solutions synergies are applied
• Ensures that all Innovative Solutions have an associated Business Cases in place to ensure ROI, and are included within the Tactical Plans
• Ensures that internal relevant teams are timely onboarded to ensure the successful execution of the implementation and scaleup of the solutions (Marketing, Access, Medical, Legal, Compliance, etc.).
• Ensures that the Innovation Partners establish communication channels with field and office roles within the TA to capture valuable insights for potential Innovative Solutions
• Oversees negotiation and agreements with potential providers for the implementation and scaleup of the solutions
• Ensures that the team generates a clear understanding of the Healthcare System IT systems and processes in Spain

Innovative Ways of Work

• Fosters a culture of Innovation and "Innovative ways of work" across GSK Spain
• Ensures that innovation methodologies (Agile, Service Design, Design Thinking...) are applied across GSK Spain to address complex problems, ensuring material impact for the company
• Ensures the company incorporates innovative ways of conducting tasks backlog follow-up
• Oversees and generates a One GSK providers strategy on this space

Leadership

• Leads and motivates a high-performance team, fostering professional and personal development aligned with GSK culture
• Facilitates collaboration and communication across different areas within the company.
• Inspires the team and motivates peers to achieve goals on the Innovation space

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Technology, Engineering, Health Sciences, Business Administration or related fields. Postgraduate degrees (MBA, Digital, Innovation/ Transformation...) will be a plus
• +8 years experience with proven experience in implementing innovative projects leveraging technology (experience in Healthcare Transformation will be a plus). Strategy consulting experience will also be a plus
• Excellent collaboration capacity with internal and external ecosystems
• Knowledge of the health ecosystem innovation drivers
• Understanding of Digital Technologies: AI/Gen AI, IoT, Big Data, its applicability on the Health space.
• Results-oriented with the ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
• Excellent communication skills (written & verbal), with the ability to communicate and present effectively to groups and senior leaders
• Excellent level of spoken and written English and Spanish

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in leading teams
• Deep knowledge of the Health Innovation / Digital Health ecosystem in Spain
• Updated with the latest trends and best practices in business innovation
• Familiar with innovation methodologies: Agile, Service Design, UI/UX practices...
• Detail oriented and operationally focused with a track record of improving process and leading through change
• Experience working with diverse set of stakeholders to achieve meaningful outcomes that create business impact
• Highly collaborative, with experience of building and nurturing productive networks
• Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity to break down complex topics into understandable vignettes
• Very strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal skills and ability to work in a time and resource constrained environment
