Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure daily transactions are posted correctly,
- Regular financial processes are completed on a timely basis e.g. bank reconciliations, collection of debts, AR/AP accounting, payment of vendors, stock management, VAT returns.
- Daily accounting operations of the holding company
- Support to Portugal subsidiary accounting operations, review and control
- Perform a month end close review of all accounts
- Meet deadlines, including close of month end.
- Assistant in distributing monthly financial statements.
- Assist with company audits.
- Assist with extracting financial data from the system that assist in business decisions
- Document and implement financial process and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of accounting/audit/controlling positions experience
- SAP experience required
- Strong computer skills, especially Excel. Ability to learn new software quickly and effectively
- Strong understanding of general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, intercompany accounting
- Fluent in writing and speaking in English and Spanish.
- Comfortable with seeking continuous improvement and change
- Team player working with others to understand and meet their financial needs
- Be selfmotivated, organized, demonstrate initiative, comfortable with problemsolving, making decision.
- Result oriented and able to manage their time to suit.
- Committed to ongoing learning and personal development and working in a continuouslearning and changing virtual work environment.
