Overview / Role Purpose
Our team envisions the tremendous potential of simulation in design and engineering, which is poised to be utilized in ways beyond our current imagination. The R&D Engineer II will assist in the advancement of software products and associated systems. In this capacity, the R&D Engineer II will apply advanced technical expertise and problem-solving skills to help the team address intricate issues, meet customer demands, and achieve development goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure optimal performance and quality of the software to be provided.
- Design, implement, and upkeep software components that meet specified requirements.
- Sustain code quality and automation.
- Leverage best practices and aid in upholding them through technical reviews.
- Execute suitable testing strategies.
- Conduct complex bug verification, release testing, and beta support for designated products. Investigate issues identified by QA or product support and devise solutions.
- Operate in an agile setting.
- Engage with project teams spanning applications and business units to address project needs.
Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 2 years' experience, MS with 1 years' experience, or PhD.
- Familiarity with software design and development methodologies.
- Solid Python proficiency, preferably in a business environment.
- Experience with development tools like Visual Studio Code, Git, and MS Azure DevOps or GitHub.
- Demonstrated capabilities in writing and presenting proficiently in English.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Solid grasp of software architecture patterns and principles.
- Understanding of Web architecture and Web API such as RESTful or gRPC.
- Experience with Software Development LifeCycle processes, encompassing testing and DevOps practices.
- Experience with ANSYS or any other relevant CAE tool.
- Proficiency with frontend technologies like Python Dash, Angular, or React.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Must exhibit enthusiasm and dedication for personal technical proficiency and high performance.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a globally dispersed team.
