The Anti-Social Behaviour Team Leader role:
As our Anti-Social Behaviour Team Leader, you will lead and direct a team of Anti-Social Behaviour Officers to improve and support our Neighbourhoods for our tenants and the wider community via the effective management and investigation of low level ASB complaints.
As part of this, you will need to develop and maintain strong relationships with the Council, the Police, and partner agencies to provide joined up multi agency responses.
Key duties and responsibilities of our Anti-Social Behaviour Team Leader:
- To be responsible for the line management of ASB Officers, providing coaching and guidance to ensure they develop their skills, knowledge and experience for the role and responsibilities and achieve their full potential
- Ensuring the team provides a responsive, proactive investigation of low/medium level ASB, addressing the root cause, ensuring where possible support has been offered and/or exhausted before escalation, preparing quality case files for escalation as appropriate
- To have operational responsibility for dealing with low/medium level ASB cases within the remit of the post, supporting Neighbourhood Officers with response to areas of community tension ensuring effective caseload management, prioritising and risk assessing accordingly
- Developing and maintaining effective professional relationships with internal and external partners to tackle and prevent ASB
- Ensuring the teams continuous improvement and increased satisfaction in relation to the management of ASB
- Operational oversight, quality assurance and audit of the team's case work to the highest quality and ensuring that residents feel supported throughout the process
What we're looking for in our Anti-Social Behaviour Team Leader:
- NVQ Level 4 or equivalent qualification and relevant experience
- Experience of ASB or Community Safety related work Evidence of promoting a continuous learning culture including mentoring and coaching individuals to help them develop their skills and achieve their full potential
- Strong operational skills in managing resources, prioritising tasks to meet strict deadlines and delegating appropriately in order to meet key performance targets
- Willingness to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the service
- Ability to travel as necessary to meet the needs of the post
- Ability to understand and meet the needs of customers to ensure excellent customer service
- Ability to understand community issues as well as current housing issues
