Multinational company in the FMGC sector is looking for a Country Manager for its subsidiary in Barcelona:

COUNTRY MANAGER The Position


Lead and execute the organization's strategy for the Spanish market, providing strategic direction, managing day-to-day operations, and driving growth and profitability.


Main Activities and Responsibilities Develop a strategic business plan, encompassing sales, gross margin, areas of opportunities, and profit objectives to drive profitable sales growth, meeting annual and long-term sales growth and profitability goals.

Assist in the development of annual budgets and set key account/sales team sales targets.

Foster relationships across functions and at senior levels, internally and externally, with key customers, retailers, and distributors, to build and strengthen business partnerships, positioning the Company to capitalize on sales opportunities.

Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to execute plans at customer accounts. Identify and remove barriers for the extended sales team to achieve goals and objectives. Actively monitor account sales opportunities and performance, utilizing effective tracking and reporting systems. Regularly report sales performance to leadership. Identify opportunities to drive profitable growth and increase market share. Collaborate with and mobilize resources across functions (marketing, finance, supply chain, etc.) to optimize opportunities, results, and service. Ensure organizational adherence to all local laws, regulations, and compliance requirements in Spain. Mitigate risks that may impact the organization's operations in Spain. Handle any crises or unexpected challenges that may arise in the Spanish market. The Ideal Candidate Hold an academic bachelor's degree (Bachelor in Business, Sales, Marketing, etc.). An MBA is highly valued.

Possess more than 10 years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in Senior Sales/Sales Management, preferably in the FMCG Food industry.

Demonstrate experience in managing critical/strategic accounts to drive sales results. Strong knowledge of the Spanish market, including its business environment, culture, and regulatory landscape, is essential. Exhibit strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills required to maintain and build robust industry connections. Possess exceptionally strong negotiation skills and business acumen to critically evaluate opportunities and overcome business challenges. Understand key financial drivers and have developed effective systems to monitor accounts and business performance. Be fluent in both Spanish and English, both written and spoken. Contact
