Job Description:
We're looking for a talented Engineering Manager with a wealth of experience and a positive, collaborative attitude to lead our Software Engineering teams.
Partnering with Product Management, you will be managing the delivery of multiple software delivery streams, overseeing the team in areas such as quality, delivery schedule, risk mitigation, resourcing planning and overall productivity.
We are looking for an individual who is capable of planning, executing and managing all aspects of the SDLC across multiple, multi-disciplined teams.
Further to this, you will contribute to the strategy of our teams across all disciplines including delivery methodology, performance, security, continuous delivery and operational support.
You will:
- Lead a team of diverse and talented software engineers with different levels of expertise
- Drive technical projects to success and provide leadership in a fastpaced environment
- Think critically about the longterm career development of team members
- Conduct regular checkins and 11s with team members
- Communicate across crossfunctional teams such as Product, and Design
- Lead prioritization efforts of work
- Align and collaborate with the Product Manager, working in tandem to analyze problems and execution plans
Qualifications:
- A knack for effective and clear communication in all circumstances
- Handson people management and technical leadership experience
- A passion for bringing great products into our world through collaboration and ingenuity
- Extensive professional experience in software development, working on robust, complex systems that serve a high volume of users
- An appreciation for engineering best practices and quality through lean and responsive practices
