Main Responsibilities:
- A Manufacturing Strategy Engineer at the Enterprise Technology Engineering Center plans, controls and implements manufacturing engineering projects for different John Deere locations worldwide. Operates in a team environment within either the Enterprise Product Delivery Process or the Factory
- Master Planning process. At this level, projects are of moderatehigh scope and responsibility may be a significant portion of one or more projects; decisions are made within established guidelines and may be reviewed by unit managers. May assign, coordinate and review portions of the work for teammates, contractors and suppliers.
What Skills You Need:
- Establishes methods, layouts, tools, costs and labor standards for current operations and/or new parts or programs.
- Analyzes current factories capacity and identifies gaps for factory future state.
- Collaborates in the factory/line future state definition.
- Travels to John Deere factories for gathering information and implementing projects.
- Proposes improvements for current operations. Investigates, gathers and analyze data and implement solutions.
- Innovates and implements cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas.
- Develops and implements plans to support lean manufacturing through the Deere Production System. Improves material flow and material presentation.
- Leads analysis, development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technology.

- Working knowledge of database management tools and process management systems
- Knowledge of capital budgeting and capital equipment justification process.
