Job Description

The Role

You will be joining our Spanish team, reporting to Carlos, CEO of Doctoralia Spain and Skoku, our Global VP Markets and Docplanner Co-Founder to develop and oversee the entire Sales organization in Spain. You will be responsible for strategy as well as execution, closely working with our other revenue functions (CS and Marketing) as well as Product to work in a cohesive GTM strategy.

It's one of our 2 HQ locations Our C-level is now spread across Warsaw and Barcelona - so Spain is already a key market for us, but needs you to give it a commercial boost.

  • 175 people form the GTM team of Doctoralia in Spain in total (thereof c. 45 in Sales today, growing to c. 55 in the short run)
  • 21.5k paying doctors
  • +2,4M bookings per month
  • +1M reviews on our marketplace
  • Market leader but still big room for growth in Spain - very granular market
  • 14m EUR ARR now, 60m EUR ARR 5 year growth plan

What you will do

  • Be responsible for the effective business operation of the entire Sales org
  • Implement highly effective sales strategy and structures - challenge our status quo, benchmark us against industry standards and raise the bar for our Sales team
  • Be a trusted advisor and business partner to Marketing/CS/Product and country leadership team - drive strategic decision-making and act as their main commercial point of contact
  • Own quality and consistency in collaboration with the global team and local leadership
  • Lead the Spanish sales team:
    • Coordinate, empower and engage the team
    • Set KPIs and evaluate performance against key metrics; identify+implement improvement initiatives
    • Review workforce planning ensuring it captures key local priorities
    • Create a culture that ensures collaboration and goal achievement
    • Instill a strong business development mindset - how can we combine products, what is the best way to sell, how can we change the pricing or sales pitch, how do we best segment the customers?
  • Own business outcomes:
    • Manage the collection, analysis, reporting of sales KPIs
    • Analyze local processes, identifying differences and best practices, and developing solutions and processes that fit the business needs
Qualifications

What you need to succeed

  • Fluency in both English and Spanish - you'll work with the local and global teams
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience - e.g. in Sales leadership in high-growth SaaS/marketplace with an SMB/mid market focus
  • Excellent analytical thinking and a hands-on leadership style
  • Strong people development skills: ability to mentor others on craft, process and leadership, build trust and inspire with your team.
  • You thrive in a matrixed environment with a pronounced focus on creating buy-in across multiple functions. Successful track record of being a partner to marketing, finance, and CS leadership
  • Ability to prioritize and balance driving key business objectives with requirements across multiple stakeholders
  • Clear understanding of team's performance evaluation and metrics and reporting/budgeting procedures
  • Customer-obsessed, detail-oriented, and being an enthusiastic team player

The interview process for this role (preliminary outline)

  1. Intro call with the Docplanner Global Executive Search team - Flore, Ryan or Laura
  2. Interview with Carlos (CEO Doctoralia Spain), your manager in this role
  3. Interview with Skoku (global VP Markets and Docplanner co-founder)
  4. Business exercise to verify technical pieces, incl. a few days' preparation time and a 60 min working meeting with Carlos Villaverde, Carlos Elviro and Skoku to discuss your thoughts and findings - exactly as if you were working here already
  5. Face to face meeting to get to know each other more (casually) and clarify last Qs
  6. Offer (subject to references)
