We are looking for a
Learning & Development Manager who will use their expertise to design, innovate and develop a holistic approach to learning and development.
Your approach includes but is not limited to learning on the job, stretch assignments, coaching, mentoring, peer-to-peer sharing, and training concepts and learning programs.
Reporting to the Community and Development Director, in this role, you will manage and provide learning programs in collaboration with internal and external partners for all employees across the business to support TravelPerk objectives and goals through skill and capability development.
What will I be doing?
- Take the lead for all L&D initiatives. Develop an L&D strategy across the business and ensure the successful implementation of various central training programs;
- Be the critical point of contact for the business's holistic L&D initiatives (including learning on the job, coaching, mentoring, stretch programs, and formal training);
- Liaise with key stakeholders and HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to assess and identify skills and development needs and build a roadmap aligned with and support TravelPerks's business objective and overall strategy;
- Curate and develop L&D content to ensure a broad portfolio of development opportunities are available to all TravelPerkers, individual contributors, aspiring managers or executive leaders;
- Design, develop and implement various and diverse learning solutions that address individual and organisational needs. You find ways to encourage participation, engage employees, and positively impact job performance;
- Ensure high quality of learning programs by continuously evaluating and assessing feedback from training sessions and further developing, upgrading and adapting the format and content where required;
- Work with thirdparty vendors for content creation and delivery. You also take responsibility for pricing and contract negotiations. You ensure effective collaboration and smooth administrative processing;
- You guide the L&D budget, working with the Director of Community, Finance, and key stakeholders to optimise spending; You maintain the central L&D budgets and report on the status every quarter;
- Set up a mentoring and coaching structure for top talent and aspiring leaders within TravelPerk;
- You monitor relevant Engagement, business and related L&D metrics and report quarterly. You use this data to follow up on the business impact of L&D initiatives.
What will I need to succeed?
- Previous experience in L&D functional leadership related to the entire learning cycle: needs analysis, development, design, delivery and evaluation or extensive experience in a general HR role where you had exposure and experience in supporting the business with growth and development initiatives (either directly or via COE support);
- Experience in creating and developing L&D strategies across multiple departments aligned to the business strategy and goals;
- Ability to translate the needs of the business into effective and efficient learning solutions;
- Experience working with Learning Experience Platforms and optimisation of the system;
- Proven track record in successfully selecting, working and collaborating with external thirdparty vendors for content creation and training delivery;
- Up to date on the latest learning trends, practices and methodologies;
- Excellent stakeholder management skills. Able to build and maintain effective working relationships across the business;
- Strong communication skills and ability to proactively update and communicate to impact critical stakeholders such as the CPO and other business leaders. Able to set clear expectations;
- High agility able to adjust strategies depending on the business course;
- Selfstarter with the ability to work alone and within a team;
