  • Leveraging our global capabilities to develop up to 20 major new medicines for patients by 2026, our network of more than 12,000 GDD associates play a central role in driving the company's longterm growth and delivering on its purpose to improve and extend people's lives.
  • The BPA Development Unit (DUs) is driving the performance management and its related financial planning cycles, risks and opportunities evaluations for the Development Units and acts as a critical business partner to the global project teams for a subsection of the portfolio.

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Supports Head Finance DUs in performance management, resource allocation, lead its financial


planning processes (budget, LO, LF, O&R), calendar management, reporting and supporting the analyses for DU owned budgets as well as across Line Functions for the portfolio view.

- Provides any ad hoc reporting or business cases in close collaboration with business partners

  • Collaborates with Project Teams and Global Business Partner to optimize budget planning and ensure financial compliance and accuracy
  • Responsible for a subsection of the portfolio and act as a key business partner for GPTs and Global Development line functions to drive compliant business performance to deliver financial targets and to partner with them for all business related topics (Investment Committees, GLT/IMB preparations, Project Reviews, Alliance Managements, FRA deliverables etc.)
  • Generate insights and identify Risks and Opportunities across portfolio responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate monthly Investment Committee Process for DU with Project teams

Minimum requirements

What you'll bring to the role:

  • University Degree
  • Fluent in English both written & oral
  • 6+ years' experience in Financial Planning and Analysis, ideally including Global level roles
  • Finance business partner with proven experience in business partnering across matrix organizations, financial planning cycles and activities based on data to improve performance and reduce risk functions and continuously develop in new situations
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with an ability to focus on the key objectives and drivers within complex topics
  • Strong Technical and System skills (e.g. SAP, BPC,Qliksense, Powerpoint, Excel, other financial reporting tools)
