About the Job

Reporting directly to the Head of Payroll, the Payroll Technician oversees payroll management in collaboration with department stakeholders to ensure compliance with current legislation and accurate withholding payments and taxes, while also assisting in resolving employee queries.

Our Approach:

  • You provide support to line managers from different departments in addressing payroll inquiries from their teams, showcasing emotional intelligence and diplomacy.
  • You demonstrate the ability to interpret payroll-related requests and a strong interest in offering solutions and responses.
  • You work closely with Operations to gather necessary information for the payroll process, guaranteeing accuracy and prompt accounting of all salaries and costs.
Key Responsibilities
  • Handle payroll calculations through the Meta4 system and address related incidents.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll processes according to the Payroll calendar deadlines.
  • Implement the collective bargaining agreement and labor regulations correctly.
  • Coordinate with Operations to collect essential data for the payroll process, verifying monthly and annual salaries accordingly.
  • Verify accuracy of new personal bank account details for final payments.
  • Engage with external entities such as social security and tax authorities as needed.
  • Review and analyze the monthly Payroll Summary.
  • Support other HR initiatives like the Equality Plan.
  • Ensure proper delivery of all documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Provide payroll reports upon request from various business areas.
  • Ensure confidentiality of payroll information.

Requirements

Skills & Experience Required
  • Proficiency in Payroll processes, including settlements, social security, taxes, and company expenses.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Meta4 system.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and strong numerical skills.
  • Ability to interpret requests and provide solutions regarding settlement, payroll, and social security.
  • Efficient, team player with strong prioritization skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Emotional intelligence, diplomacy, relationship-building skills, and fluency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Human Resources.
  • Degree in Labor Relations, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields.
