Job Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented Head of Events.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong sales background with a keen commercial focus, coupled with exceptional leadership and organizational skills.

The Head of Events will be responsible for driving revenue growth through the successful planning, execution, and sales of events.

Business Development:
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and maximize profitability. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including corporate partnerships, sponsorships, and event collaborations. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and industry stakeholders to drive business growth. Help the team in generating leads, negotiating contracts, and closing deals.

Event Planning and Execution:
Oversee the end-to-end planning and execution of events, ensuring seamless delivery and exceptional customer satisfaction. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop innovative event concepts and experiences. Manage event budgets, timelines, and resources effectively to optimize profitability and minimize risks. Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to stay ahead of market demands and maintain a competitive edge.

Team Leadership and Management:
Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing events team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability. Provide ongoing guidance and support to team members, empowering them to achieve their goals and maximize their potential. Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement strategies for continuous improvement and professional development.

Marketing and Promotion:

Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns to drive attendance and awareness for events.

Utilize various marketing channels, including digital, social media, and traditional advertising, to reach target audiences effectively. Analyze marketing data and metrics to evaluate campaign performance and make data-driven decisions for future initiatives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field; Proven track record of success in sales, business development, and event management, with at least 7 years of relevant experience.

Strong understanding of the events industry, including current trends, best practices, and key players. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels. Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and a passion for driving growth and innovation. Proficiency in CRM software, event management platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.
