Animation - Madrid – Rigging /Full Time /Hybrid

Looking for a Senior Rigger to join our team in Madrid If you love working closely with various departments and being responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining character and prop deformation rigs for use in Crowds, Layout, and Animation, this might be the perfect role for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain procedural rig components focusing on deformation with custom tools.
  • Produce complex production-ready rig deformations based on briefs.
  • Collaborate with Animators to provide a wide range of motion through deformation rigs.
  • Support rigs throughout the pipeline and provide necessary deformation fixes.
  • Build body, facial, and mechanical rig systems for other departments like Crowds, Animation, and Layout.
  • Troubleshoot and fix rig issues, collecting artistic feedback for rig behavior adjustments.
  • Adhere to pipeline and rigging standards.

Additional Requirements:

  • 5+ years in VFX or animation industries.
  • 3+ years in the animation industry.
  • Strong artistic and technical rigging skills.
  • Proficiency in a character pipeline and using Maya in a production setting.
  • Experience with sculpting tools in Body, Face, and Shot-Finaling.
  • Good understanding of animation principles and extensive anatomical knowledge of facial muscles.
  • Advanced Python scripting skills following coding standards, including Qt Interfaces and UX.
  • Desirable knowledge in C/C++ development.
