Job Purpose:

To support the IPP Analyst team in maintaining and strengthening trading relationships with all relevant vendors and with Product Marketing to obtain competitive advantage for TD SYNNEX via professional inventory planning and procurement.

Responsibilities:

  • Placing orders based on profiles produced by the IPP Analyst team considering logistics efficiency requirements (i.e. pallet, layer, carton etc.).
  • Back to back ordering of products with no established run rate.
  • Place direct ship purchase orders on vendors. Check order confirmations for correct product, quantity, pricing, and delivery dates and invoice customers on receipt of proof of shipment or delivery.
  • Ensure all purchase orders raised are within authorized and agreed sign off limits.
  • Check vendor order confirmations for accuracy and update system (SAP) accordingly.
  • Expedite open orders for maximum customer satisfaction and ensure high accuracy in due dates in SAP.
  • Assist the IPP Analyst team with vendor price changes and ensure correct cost prices in SAP.
  • Stock Rotation: Request authorization reference from the vendor, raise Return to Vendor quotation order, and validate stock return to vendor.
  • Support IPP Analyst team in resolving Logistics and Finance queries.
  • Work within policies and procedures, continually review and update where necessary.
  • Own and manage ad hoc projects defined by IPP Management.
  • Provide high service, support, and accuracy to the IPP team.
  • Achieve set targets consistently.
  • Represent TD SYNNEX efficiently and professionally.
  • Maximize stock availability, minimize customer backlog and inventory costs, while maintaining stock levels in line with key performance indicators.
  • Provide a high availability stock profile with justified commercial risk and cost.

Knowledge Skills and Experience

  • Effective communication with internal & external partners.
  • Proactive and self-motivated.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Organize and prioritize daily routine to support a changing environment.
  • Working knowledge of current IT technologies.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office tools and inventory replenishment systems would be advantageous.
  • Commercial and financial acumen. Analytical skills to take appropriate action. Focused, pro-active, and committed attitude.
  • Knowledge of basic purchasing and inventory principles and practices.
