Information about Agilent is available at We are seeking a Collection Specialist to join our dynamic Collection & Credit team based in Barcelona.

In this role, you will contact clients and collect outstanding payments, focusing on our customers in Brazil.
You will struck a balance between maintaining trustful relationships, and ensuring timely payments.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Resolve, collect and manage past due accounts and outstanding invoices
  • Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts
  • Investigate historical data for each debt or bill
  • Find and contact clients to ask about their overdue payments
  • Take actions to encourage timely debt payments
  • Process payments and refunds
  • Update account status records and collection efforts
  • Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status
  • Payment receipts creation
  • Interfaces with sales support, customer service and accounts receivable to reconcile accounts, resolving billing and credit issuesThis is a temporary contract of minimum 3 months based in Barcelona, where you could work on a weekly hybrid model: 2 days working from home, 3 days in the office.
QualificationsWe are looking for a motivated individual with the following background:

  • First experience in a finance, accounting, collection or accounts payable position
  • Knowledge of local billing procedure and/or collection techniques
  • Good proficiency with Excel
  • Full fluency in English and Portuguese.
Fluency in Spanish would be a strong plus.

  • Knowledge of SAP would be an assetOn a personal level, you are rigorous, resilient and trustworthy.
You also have great communication and negotiation skills to interact with both internal and external partners.
You enjoy both working within a team and autonomously.
You show patience, problem-solving skills and you are able to manage stress.
