What we are looking for:
You take care of building, maintaining, and optimizing the infrastructure and data pipelines to store, process, and manage data efficiently and reliably You ensure the smooth flow, processing, storage, and availability of data You instill quality by adhering to the Definition of Done You do data quality checks to catch and resolve issues You optimize queries and fine-tune systems for performance improvements You diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to the data stack as L3 support You help to migrate the remaining on-prem tables and jobs to the cloud You interact with the data product owner, Power BI specialist, business analyst, and other data experts to set up and configure necessary data systems and infrastructure You define and document data structures, standards, and best practices You assist data consumers in understanding available data and its nuances Essential experience: Experience with cloud data warehousing solutions and databases like Azure Synapse and Data Lake Strong coding skills, especially in languages like SQL and PySpark Deep understanding of ELT processes and data modeling Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure and its data-related services Trusted to handle sensitive and proprietary information with discretion and professionalism (Nice to have) Proficiency in big data tools and frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
