Digital Classification Product Manager for Export

Export Control Compliance is a key for the whole Airbus, including Airbus DS activities and products. Your position will be key to set up a basis for Export Control compliance at company level.

You will be joining the new Export Control Product organization within Digital, in charge of the Classification & Marking solutions.

You will be contributing to the Airbus Compliance Export (ACE) program, a key project for DS activities and products, in the heart of Export Control, Digitalization and Business activities.


You will work closely with a wide set of stakeholders from Export Control, Business Functions, Digital Organization as well as stakeholders from the ACE program.

You will act as the Classification Product manager to secure the Service delivery and Projects. The usage of a Lean work methodology puts the quality in everything the Export Control Product is delivering.


You will need to be proactive, have outstanding communication skills, who can manage and align a wide number stakeholders, in a heterogeneous and challenging environment.


Your Role:

  • Ensure that Classification data are available and trustable at any moment in your systems to ensure Airbus transactions services continuity.
  • Classification Product Manager within Export Control Product in Digital organization.
  • Analyze and propose evolutions, communicate and implement these evolutions in all classification solutions used in AD (eg. Classification Repository Solution, Taxonomy Repository Solution) in line with Export Control Directives & Methods and business expectations.
  • Acting as focal point within the AD Export Control Product in Digital for Classification solutions in coordination with group (Airbus Commercial and Airbus Helicopters) Digital Product managers for Classification.
  • Being close to the Export Control business and impacted Business Functions identifying current weak points in the AD system landscape and way of working.
  • Transversal knowledge of the Digital landscape is required as key for the Export control integration.
  • Identifying and proposing as business partner improvements measures align with business requirements.
  • Support your team members and Digital teams in order to deliver on commitments.

Your Responsibilities/Tasks

  • In charge of the Classification Products for Export Control within the Digital Organization.
  • Followup and ensure Service quality and Project delivery success and end user satisfaction.
  • Keep a continuous alignment with the counterparts on the other divisions to find synergies that contribute to the Export Control compliance.
  • Ensure lifecycle management of the Export Control Classification solutions, including maintenance, evolutions and ensuring transparency along the whole runtime (Reports, presentations, Facilitation of Meetings).
  • Accountable of the management and resolution of incidents and requests within the Products SLAs. Coordinate the different support levels (L1-L2) and act as Expert (L3)
  • Assist L2 with assessment of incidents and determination of assignment for resolution of maintenance or upgrade issues.
  • Assist Business Unit requests. These requests will be centralized and informed by a Focal Point from Export Control. Assist with the review of results and recommended resolutions produced by L2 team, when completing proactive monitoring and prevention activities
  • Evaluate and develop new functionalities (including request from Business Units, Security Governance or Applications to be integrated)
  • Test the resolved defects (does not include E2E testing or E2E performance testing)
  • Maintain the Operations Guide (when to escalate, who to contact ), update de Knowledgebase with resolution of new issues
  • Support the Service Owner on the monitoring and monthly reports on service delivery (SLAs, KPIs etc.)
  • Ensure that all Classification products are in line with Airbus / Digital requirements (Digital security, Architecture, Data Governance, Digital Governance)
  • Work with Business stakeholders to align the Export Control strategy and the expected outcome.
  • Demonstrates the following scientist qualities: clarity, accuracy, strategic thinking, relevance, depth, breadth, logic, significance, and fairness.
  • Coordinating the reports towards the Export Control community (ECOs, TCOs), ACE program management, GECS program and Digital Leadership Team.

Required skills

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering or Bachelor degree in Information Systems.
  • Experience in Product / Service management.
  • Experience or familiarization with the IT/IS environment and Export Control is a plus.
  • Knowledge on System integration / interfaces is a plus.
  • Good stakeholder management.
  • Structured, good organization and prioritization skills.
  • Good communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, willingness to travel.
