Business planning & PMO manager

Description -

This role is responsible for leading the management of business and financial plan development, enabling the achievement of strategic objectives of the organization. The role collaborates with business management on various business issues and influences senior management by suggesting recommendations for optimizing business performance. The role manages a team of individual contributors who support complex business plan execution across the organization, Amplify programs and Strategic projects.

In addition, this role drives the strategy and value proposition of Channel Services, ensuring alignment with overall business goals. The role leads key projects that support Business Development Manager (BDM) execution, ensuring that initiatives are effectively implemented and deliver expected outcomes. It also oversees financial processes, including budgeting, to ensure financial discipline and optimal resource allocation. Furthermore, the role leads strategic processes that impact all businesses within the organization, fostering cross-functional collaboration and ensuring cohesive strategy execution across different units.

Responsibilities

Lead efforts to develop business and financial plans that enable the execution of business strategies, including implementing new growth initiatives and managing budgets.

Oversee business planning initiatives, including M&A integration projects at regional or business unit levels.

Direct and prioritize complex strategic business projects by monitoring deliverables and milestones, and developing contingencies to minimize risks and maximize success.

Partner with business management on a wide range of business issues, including risk management and implementation tactics.

Manage the development of project guidelines, plans, objectives, and deliverables; handles budgets for multiple complex plans and projects.

Influence senior management by presenting compelling analysis and recommendations for optimizing business performance.

Develop and execute innovative strategic plans for building long-term business needs, negotiates with external partners, and monitors industry trends.

Direct large cross-functional teams and communications to facilitate projects and ensure timely delivery to clients.

Lead training and development initiatives for the business team and provides a knowledge base for product solutions and support services.

Provide strong leadership, develop individual and team performance goals, and manages change; ensures proper tools and resources are in place to support team efforts.

Drive the strategy and value proposition of Channel Services, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.

Oversee financial processes, including budgeting, to ensure financial discipline and optimal resource allocation.

Foster cross-functional collaboration to ensure cohesive strategy execution across different business units.

Education & Experience Recommended

- Four-year or Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

- Typically has 7-10 years of job-related experience or 5-7 years of management experience, preferably in strategy, planning, operations, market research, or a related field.

Preferred Certifications

- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
