Practice Area Profile
What You'll Do
You will join an expanding Product and Engineering team focused on proprietary BCG products which complement the firmâs consulting offerings. Primary responsibilities include (and not limited to): 
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering leaders to build and execute on a long-term product roadmap 
  • Support a cross-functional product team in the scoping, development, and delivery of new product features  
  • Design and conduct user surveys and interviews to understand opportunities and pain points, and gather requirements for new features and enhancements 
  • Define holistic solutions in the context of an existing application and write detailed user stories that account for complexities and tangential impacts. 
  • Create basic mock-ups to convey ideas and illustrate workflows and user journeys, using PowerPoint, Balsamiq, etc. 
  • Collaborate with Engineering team to identify and resolve complexities, clarify requirements, resolve bugs, and deliver high-quality, intuitive solutions 
  • Create monthly reports on key business and performance metrics 
  • Proactively contribute to product evolution and ecosystem offerings vis a vis competitive landscape 
  • Design and run User Acceptance Testing sessions, collect and process feedback  
  • Create and distribute release communications, including email announcements, functional release notes, and user manuals. 
  • Participate in and contribute to marketing efforts and business development initiatives  
  • Actively manage expectations (workload, case /assignment timelines & deliverables) both within X Delivery / BCG X and with product squads / case teams / case leadership 
You are good atYou are a self-starter with an entrepreneurial drive and a high aptitude for strategic thinking and creative problem solving. You are curious, driven, and eager to learn new things. You prioritise quality and user experience, and are able to understand user goals and needs. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are required. Experience with data management and visualisation tools is an advantage. 
  • Working in a fast-paced, cross-functional team and international environment 
  • Self-motivated and able to operate autonomously in a structured manner 
  • Providing end-to-end support on the technical aspects of cases including deployment, data migration, system integration, configuration, troubleshooting and technology workarounds in case of tool bugs and limitations 
  • Customizing and configuring tools per client needs by using MS SQL Server, developing data ETL processes, SQL scripts and basic knowledge of C# or other object oriented programming languages 
  • Designing and developing Executive dashboards using tools like Tableau and Power BI 
  • Leading client IT and security considerations and audits through direct collaboration with client stakeholders 
  • Performing data analytics modeling to define and implement databases and warehouses to store data for analytics using tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, and Excel 
  • Working in the analytics solutions field or software implementation/support or infrastructure 

What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)
Non-technical skills 
  • Bachelors' or Master's degree with demonstrated high academic achievement 
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in product management, product development and business development for a software or subscription-based data product business highly desired 
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are required 
  • Accuracy, strong attention to detail and outstanding customer focus 
  • Collaborative approach to product management, with experience managing dynamic prioritization of product enhancements 
  • Additional European language skills are a plus (especially French, Portuguese, or German) 

Technical skills 
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel 
  • Intermediate understanding of Artificial Intelligence, specifically Generative AI  
  • Intermediate knowledge of Alteryx and/or Tableau is preferred 
  • Experience with MSSQL or PostgreSQL is an advantage 
  • Basic familiarity with C#, Angular, and .NET is an advantage 
  • Basic familiarity with Cloud Computing, ideally AWS or Azure is an advantage
