Diabetes - Mounjaro

Project Description:

Mounjaro (Tirzepatide) is a new molecule (the first of a new class) with a dual agonism (arGLP-1/GIP) that will be available in Spain for two indications: Obesity and Type 2 Diabetes (T2D). The Project will be focused on the excellent launching of the T2D indication. Tirzepatide has the potential to disrupt the current treatment paradigm in Diabetes with unprecedent efficacy results in HbA1C and weight loss.

Context and Project Objectives :

The context: Tirzepatide will be first launched Out of Pocket (OOP) in Spain. This will be a challenge since T2D drugs are usually reimbursed in our country. Later in time, we expect to gain access and reimbursement for Tirzepatide within the public system. The main objectives of the project will be:

Define and explore the size of the opportunity for an OOP market in Diabetes.

Refine strategy, positioning and target patient in order to maximize the opportunity.

Explore new ways to connect with and activate patients through innovative media channels.

Create/recommend a robust strategy to transition and scale the business once the T2D indication gain reimbursement in Spain.
