At Amazon, we're working to be the most customer-centric company on earth. To get there, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people. If you'd like to help us build the place to find and buy anything online, this is your chance to make history.

Amazon's Global Procurement Organization is seeking an experienced Sr. Technical Program Manager to define and execute software programs that drive digitalization of Amazon's complex end to end Indirect Supply Chain. This role will be responsible for orchestrating communication, leading stakeholders and engineering teams through requirements discovery, project inception, planning, scheduling, removing roadblocks, executing and delivering projects, working directly with engineering to deliver on org KPI and roadmap objectives, and matching the needs of customers and stakeholders with the solutions and resources needed to deliver business value.

Given the breadth of the technology solutions we develop and integrate, this role will require coordination across internal and external Amazon teams as well as third party vendors. You’ll work with customers, partners, and business stakeholders to align prioritized features with engineering solutions that deliver the most value and customer satisfaction. You will partner with Product Management and Engineering to define new capabilities and solutions through expertly crafted narratives, business requirements and technology specifications, while driving clarity for business partners and engineers alike.

Successful applicants will have experience developing functional and non-functional requirements, developing technical specifications, facilitating business and technical meetings, partnering with resources outside of the team to get things done, scheduling and pivoting project plans, communicating status, resolving risks, removing barriers, leading cross-functional teams, and communicating to a large number of stakeholders.

You will also need to learn about capabilities from various internal teams and be able to communicate effectively to all levels within the company, both in writing and in meetings. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise, including an understanding of systems design using AWS cloud components, able to actively participate in review discussions about engineering architecture and design, able to independently resolve integration challenges with external teams, and review UML, ERD, AWS Cloud Design and related technical diagrams and documents. The candidate will have experience managing complex programs and interrelated projects across multiple engineering and stakeholder groups. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast paced environment, deals well with ambiguity, develops and builds clarity, and is willing to roll up their sleeves to dig into any project or problem. The candidate will have high standards for themselves and everyone they work with, and will be constantly looking around corners to prevent short sighted designs and decisions. We are looking for a proven ability to work closely with customers, end users and the engineering team; someone who is excited to take on new, ambiguous projects that rely on the candidate's ability to generate clarity, solutions and a path to successful outcomes.
