Test Engineer (Intermediate) – Exciting Opportunity in Railway Infrastructure

We are looking for an experienced Test Engineer to join a groundbreaking project in railway infrastructure. If you are passionate about geospatial data, testing, and driving innovation in large-scale infrastructure, this is your chance to work on a cutting-edge project that impacts railway operations nationwide.

About the Project:Join the dynamic InfraMaps project, a vital tool designed for the railway sector. This map-based visualization platform is used to manage repair orders across Germany’s railway infrastructure, integrating over 200 inventory plans and various data sources. The project’s goal is to streamline operations, providing maintenance teams and planners with real-time, automated data for improved efficiency and security planning.

Your Role:As a Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of this innovative system. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting defect management for plant managers and planners.
  • Executing and developing acceptance test cases for geodata use cases.
  • Documenting test results and creating detailed defect reports in JIRA.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders on test design and results management.

What We’re Looking For:We are seeking a professional with proven experience in testing, particularly in the context of geospatial data and infrastructure projects. Your skills will include:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 4 projects focused on testing, especially within geospatial data and infrastructure environments.
    • Strong knowledge of black box testing methods.
    • Hands-on experience in stakeholder management for large-scale projects.
  • Skills Certifications:
    • ISTQB Advanced Level certification.
    • Proficiency with test automation tools such as Selenium and Robot Framework.
    • Familiarity with test management tools, including JIRA, Confluence, and Micro Focus ALM.
    • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and test execution processes.

  • Location: Based in Frankfurt am Main
  • Work Setup: Primarily remote with occasional on-site requirements.
