.As our next Test Engineer, you'll be leading the team of engineers responsible for vehicle level testing. Your remit will be to be the single point of contact for the technical delivery of vehicle testing, looking at the car from a customer perspective.To excel in this role, you'll need to be open to new ideas and have a transparent approach. You will be working with a team of experienced engineers, and your role is instrumental in solving fleet issues and problems. Your day-to-day activities will include working on specific vehicles, supporting vehicle testing based in Idiada, and addressing any end-of-day issues.You're not the type to shy away from challenges and you don't want to be viewed as just a test driver. This role isn't limited to the UK, as it will be based in Idiada. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work hands-on with the brand and enhance the customer experience.As a Test Engineer, you are motivated by openness, transparency, and problem-solving. You would thrive on being a part of the team that is building up the brand. Your remit would be to lead the testing team and ensure the smooth delivery of technical solutions.The purpose of this role is to define and solve fleet issues from an engineering point of view. Trust is essential in this role to maintain the highest standards in vehicle testing.Key Responsibilities:Vehicle Testing: Lead the technical delivery of vehicle-level testing to meet performance, durability, and quality standards from a customer perspective.Customer-Focused Evaluation: Test vehicle performance based on real-world customer use cases to ensure high standards.Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues using innovative engineering solutions.Reporting & Collaboration: Document test results and collaborate with design, engineering, and quality teams for future development.Required Skills and Experience:Technical Expertise: Strong background in vehicle testing, automotive engineering principles, and customer-oriented evaluations.Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills.Hands-On Experience: Proficient in diagnosing and implementing testing protocols in a real-world environment.Communication Skills: Ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical teams.Adaptability & Flexibility: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and internationally in Idiada, Spain.At Aston Martin, we believe in the importance of courage and taking ownership of our actions.
