Role & responsibilities
- Setup, development, and work with expert systems and databases (ENDF, JENDL, JEFF, TENDL, etc.) for the simulation of nuclear physical processes;
- Development and integration of nuclear measurement technology (simulation, prototype construction, and operation);
- Continuous support and supervision of the project;
- Creation and documentation of all specifications in cooperation with national and international development partners;
- An important internal interface to the areas of mechanical engineering and physics.
Requirements
- Willingness to relocate to Austria (Europe)
- Completed technical education (at least a Master's degree) with a focus on nuclear physics;
- Understanding of mechatronic processes and automation;
- Experience with nuclear physical facilities (research reactors, neutron sources, particle accelerators, particle detectors, etc.);
- Knowledge in the physical simulation of nuclear physical processes (Monte Carlo codes, transport equation, cross-sections, etc.);
- Willingness to travel to national and international partners;
- English language skills in speech and writing are required;
- Willingness to learn German once on-site
- Relevant software knowledge welcome:
- Operating systems: Microsoft, Linux
- Simulation: Matlab/Simulink, OpenModelica, Python, Matcad, FEM/CFD (Comsol, Ansys, etc.)
