Mission:
In a context of growth and company transformation, our client is establishing a new strategic role to review and transform their manufacturing and supply chain organization in Iberia, the main Business Unit (BU) of the group worldwide. Reporting to the BU Iberia Operations Director, you will be responsible to successfully deliver the BU Iberia Footprint program, within agreed budgets, timelines and scope. This includes implementing the required organizational changes, to increase competitiveness in the market and quality of products and services.
Function and main responsabilities:
· Lead and manage the performance of direct & indirect reports (Workstream Leads, internal PMO and external PMO: aprox. 12-14 persons)
· Implement the program structure incl. workstreams, communication, documentation, reporting, controls and progress tracking, as well as monitoring adherence and taking appropriate measures in case of deviations
· Define and utilize program control processes, procedures and related tools, as well as ensure that relevant people are trained
· Design and implement the program governance structure, taking the lead in reporting out to the Group global management and to the Business Unit management
· Develop, implement and track a program integrated activity schedule to ensure agreed milestones are met
· Manage the program’s budget (CAPEX and OPEX) – controlling commitments, spending and forecasts against baseline budgets, as well as providing cost analyses as needed
· You will be responsible to invest more than 150 Mio € according to the plan already presented to the Management Board, adjusting timing and budgets accordingly in time.
· Assess overall program risks and issues and lead definition of corrective actions, as well as monitor actions progress
· Manage program changes (changes to scope, organization, etc) according to a change management process (2024-2029)
· Work closely with the Business Unit HR function, manage the required changes in the BU organization as the program is delivered. This also entails managing changes to the way of working for Iberia BU staff (e.g. increased automation, different quality assurance processes, connectivity of systems, etc)
· Implement an efficient communications structure between Workstream Leads, PMO, BU stakeholders and stakeholders outside of the Business Unit
· Act as an inspiration and motivator to direct reports and program stakeholders
Requirements:
Mandatory (minimum) qualifications and experience:
· 15 years’ experience with managing large business transformation programs in manufacturing industry, preferably food, agro-nutrition, FMCG or fine chemicals
· 5 years’ experience with PMO / program management roles, managing the scope, budget and schedule of a complex program
· 5 years’ experience with managing teams of subject matter experts in an international environment
· It is important to bring previous practical experience in an industrial environment (on top of consultancy)
· Minimum Bachelor level education. An MBA will be highly valued
· Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and writing)
· Excellent communication skills (verbal and writing), both to local (project) teams and to senior management levels. This position needs to be able to communicate, present and pass through clearly both content and form on how the project is evolving
· Practical, hands-on, ability to anticipate subjects
· Interest to engage pro-actively with project teams and to foster their creativity and proposals
Beneficial / preferred:
· Demonstrated experience in an Operations management related role (e.g. production, supply chain, etc)
· Having lived and worked outside of home location for at least 2 years
The position is based in BU Iberia’s office, in Madrid metropolitan area. Regular travel is required to BU sites on the Iberian Peninsula.
