Data Analyst - BI

Verisure is seeking a talented, innovative, passionate  Data Analyst - BI to join our growing and successful Team. The role will report to the Data Science Team Lead in our Group Customer Marketing department.

About the Role

Main responsibilities:

Design and develop reports/dashboards for KPI follow up.

Extract and analyze customer data.

Support different business areas in decision-making through data.

Exploit large-scale data warehouses performing highly efficient SQL coding to extract data.

Come up with creative and informed ways of tackling data issues by an understanding of the internal system/business process.

Liaise with the IT Organization to drive our agenda in what concerns Data Architecture and choice of solutions.


Examples of day-to-day tasks:

Create dashboards and reports using PowerBI at state-of-the-art to generate insights, communicate results and monitor KPIs regularly.

Extract customer data to perform analyses on topics as different as payment quality, customer usage profile, maintenance performance, customer cancellation funnels, etc.

Proactively analyze data to answer key questions for stakeholders, with an eye on what drives business performance.

Creation of datamarts and work with large volumes of data for the generation of optimal automatized reports.

Help design new features that will feed predictive ML models alongside data scientists and business stakeholders.

Develop and maintain databases by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources and build scripts that will make our data evaluation process more flexible and scalable

Help on technical Documentation using Confluence and hosting and building code in collaboration using BitBucket.

The position will be based in Madrid (Spain).

Candidate profile

Experiences, qualifications, and competencies

In terms of experiences and qualifications , the ideal candidate will have:

Degree in Business Information Systems; Mathematics/ Statistics/ Physics/Economics; Engineering or any other hard science degrees.

Previous experience in Business Intelligence Environment.

Experience in reporting and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau and MicroStrategy.

Experience working with relational database.

Writing and understanding SQL scripts.

Knowledge of programming languages (.: Python, R, oriented to statistical data analysis and Visualization.

Experience in Cloud Platforms is a plus (AWS, Azure, GCP, .

Knowledge of advanced analytics and data mining is a plus.

Master's degree in Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, or any related field is a plus

Fully proficient in English (Advanced level of Spanish is a plus).
