Context And Mission
The main mission for this new position is to help the Language Technology Research Group to build strong and positive relationships with clients and business partners.
Key Duties
  • Conduct market research and analysis to find technology language applications in the market.
  • Plan and implement an open call for use case development to test Language Technology Research Results.
  • Keep a pipeline of qualified business opportunities to assure a sustainable exploitation of the research.
  • Design and implement specialised fair assistance participation.
  • Support Language Technology Research group to prepare and submit collaborative research and development offers to companies.
  • Keep updated and register business opportunities using CRM tools.
  • Make and give presentations to prospective clients and internal teams.

Requirements
  • Education
    • Degree level or equivalent
  • Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
    • Min 3-years Business Development experience in a technology driven organisation
    • Demonstrated ability in research-to-business activities.
    • Background within and understanding of ICT Business sector.
    • Familiarity with the language technologies and artificial intelligence.
    • Familiarity with project management methodologies and CRM tools.
  • Competences
    • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills.
    • Problem-solving skills to propose mutually beneficial solutions.

Conditions
  • The position will be located at BSC within the Director's Department

  • Duration: Open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration
  • Holidays: 23 paid vacation days plus 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreement
  • Salary: we offer a competitive salary commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the candidate and according to the cost of living in Barcelona
