Job Title: Senior Frontend Developer (React)

Our client, a global leader in investment banking, securities, and investment management, is seeking a skilled Senior Frontend Developer to enhance the user experience of their critical systems. What You’ll Do:
  • Lead the development of sophisticated frontend applications, enabling high-performance financial solutions for global users
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including back-end engineers and UX designers, to build scalable and reusable frontend components using React (Hooks, Context API)
  • Write clean, efficient code that adheres to programming best practices and design patterns
  • Implement modern CSS techniques and tools (SCSS, css-in-js) to deliver professional and user-friendly interfaces
  • Utilize Typescript to improve code maintainability and ensure scalable, type-safe frontend systems
  • Integrate your work into continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using GitLab or Jenkins, and streamline workflows with module bundlers like Webpack and npm
  • Conduct rigorous unit testing to ensure software reliability and performance in a high-stakes financial environment
What You Bring:
  • Minimum of 4 years of commercial experience in frontend development, particularly with React JS and modern JavaScript
  • Proficiency in Typescript and hands-on experience with CSS tools and techniques
  • Strong understanding of design patterns and programming principles (SOLID, unit testing, etc.)
  • Familiarity with modern frontend workflows, including bundlers (Webpack), package managers (npm), and CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins)
Bonus Points If You Have:
  • Experience with state management libraries like Redux Toolkit Query or React Query
  • Experience building complex forms with libraries such as Formik or React Hook Form
  • Familiarity with Ag-grid for handling large data sets in the frontend
  • Experience with legacy code and refactoring projects
  • A solid understanding of UX principles and how to apply them to financial services
