The Company Our customer is a technology-based startup with solid funding that is in the midst of expansion. They will hire the selected candidate as an internal and permanent employee. Description of the position We're looking for a Cloud FinOps Specialist for its global operations in Madrid. He/She will take ownership of cloud financial operations, ensuring efficient, transparent and sustainable scalation. Working Experience & Tech Skills @ Proven experience in FinOps or cloud cost management, ideally with Microsoft Azure. @ Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, billing models, and optimization techniques. @ Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar tools. @ Experience with Azure Cost Management, CloudHealth, Cloudability or similar tools would be an asset. @ Familiarity with SaaS metrics, unit economics, and cost-to-serve models (desirable). @ Exposure to startup scaling challenges and rapid cloud growth (desirable). Soft skills @ Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile startup environment. @ Leadership capabilities. @ Ability to work cross-functionally with different teams (engineering, finance). @ International work experience working with international teams Key Responsibilities @ Own Azure's FinOps strategy: cost visibility, allocation, and optimization. @ Collaborate with engineering teams to design cost-efficient architectures and promote cloud cost awareness. @ Partner with Finance to forecast cloud expenses, align budgets, and support reporting needs. @ Implement and manage FinOps tools and dashboards. @ Define and enforce governance policies. @ Lead cloud cost reviews, anomaly detection, and savings initiatives. @ Stay current with Azure pricing models, service updates, and best practices. Languages @ Spanish: At least B2-C1. @ English: At least B2-C1. Job location Tres Cantos (Madrid). European Union citizen; otherwise, a valid job permit is mandatory. Salary A very competitive salary package. Working from home 3-4 days a week (but according to the specific needs that may arise from the perspective of project development, department, clients, and/or partners).
