This is about taking breakthrough physics, materials science, and precision engineering and turning it into something customers can run 24/7.YOUR IMPACTAs CTO, you'll be responsible for:Defining and owning the long-term technology roadmapTurning prototypes into modular, production-ready systemsEnsuring quality, reliability, and manufacturability at industrial scaleLeading a highly multidisciplinary engineering organisation across hardware, software, electronics, firmware, and materialsActing as the senior technical authority with customers, partners, and investorsThis is a role for someone who enjoys technical depth but can also zoom out and make the right architectural and strategic decisions.WHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING ONAdvanced printhead and fluid-handling systemsComplex system architecture across mechanics, electronics, and softwareIntelligent software platforms (including AI-driven optimisation and compensation)Design-for-manufacture and industrialisation of deep-tech hardwareStrategic partnerships with research institutes and industrial partnersWHAT MAKES SOMEONE SUCCESSFUL HERE10+ years in deep-tech engineering environments (additive manufacturing, inkjet, robotics, precision electronics, or similar)A proven track record of scaling hardware from lab to industrial realityComfortable leading across disciplines — even if your core expertise sits in oneHands-on when needed; strategic when requiredCalm, patient, and credible in long hardware development cycles
