Overview of the Role The Finance department of three people keeps all the records of the financial affairs of the business. We are looking for a Finance Trainee. The principal purpose of the Finance Trainee is data processing within the accounting software and assisting other members of the team with monthly tasks.

You'll be involved in the monthly closing process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls. Additionally, you'll assist in preparing documentation for external audits, gaining firsthand experience in audit support. Your analytical mindset will be put to good use as you help develop and monitor KPI analysis, and resolve issues related to accounts payable and accounts receivable. Expect to work with financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement, while deepening your understanding of financial reporting and general ledger operations.

Responsibilities

  • Support in financial and tax reporting
  • Support in Month End Closing activities
  • Follow up on Cost Center expenses
  • Identify and propose improvements in expenses follow up.
  • KPI's follow up
  • Bank reconcilations support
  • Help on clearing AP and AR
  • Price creation in system
  • Journal entry creation
  • Marketing and Sales tracking reports
  • Preparation of spreadsheets such as debtors, income and contact details for the finance department and others
  • Dealing with queries from suppliers, members and colleagues

Ad hoc requests from Accounts Assistant or Head of Finance

This role involves analyzing financial data to identify problems, propose solutions, and make sound financial decisions that align with company objectives.

The Finance Trainee collaborates with teams across departments to gather financial information, provide insights, and support the overall financial strategy of the organization.

While in a trainee position, there may be opportunities for the Finance Trainee to demonstrate leadership skills by assisting junior team members and providing guidance on financial tasks.

Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Accuracy and good attention to detail. Polite. Punctual. The ability to work collaboratively within a small team and to contribute to the wider work of the IA. A premium is placed on an open and friendly personality.

Fluent in Spanish and English
