Responsibilities
The VIE will be part of the GTB/ TRA team in Madrid. GTB Spain, belongs to the GTPS BU and is dedicated to developing the business with the Corporate Clients seeking support with transactions (commercial and corporate transactions), guarantee issuance, letters of credit an other trade finance instruments. It targets large Spanish Groups as well as local subsidiaries of multinational groups clients of the bank across the network.

The offered position is a replacement within the GTB/TRA unit in Madrid as Sales and MO Support.

The VIE will report directly to the Head of Trade Finance and will be mainly in charge of:

  • Collaborate with TRA Sales and Middle Office team members assisting them in all their duties linked to the origination and execution of different trade finance transactions (domestic and international guarantees, letters of credit, structured transactions, ad-hoc structures to mitigate RWA consumption) for strategic clients as well as interacting with different stakeholders (Senior Bankers, Risk Management, Legal, Compliance, Back Offices)
  • Clients Onboarding
  • Maintain Management Information Database
  • Compile and analyze data over time to forecast sales trends
  • Prepare accurate reports using data from internal and external sources

This position requires: i) abilities to work in an international environment (centralized back office in France, exchanges with other SG branches abroad); ii) strong interpersonal skills and "out of the box" thinking to interact and obtain information from different contacts and gain a complete understanding of the processes; iii) analytical skills to treat Management Information

Profile required
PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:

  • Graduate with a Master's degree from a Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance/Business Administration
  • A previous experience in Transaction Banking areas would be appreciated

Language skills:

  • Fluent in English
  • Spanish would be a plus

Technical, operational & soft skills:

  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient/Good command of MS Office

The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Madrid is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12months.

In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
