The Role

We are looking for a Doctor (PhD) with a strong mathematical background to lead and develop a new business line within Growi.

This role comes with a high degree of autonomy and decision-making capacity. You will be responsible for designing, improving, and scaling complex quantitative models that directly power our investment strategies, with a clear path to ownership over a core part of the company's quantitative stack.

You will work closely with the CEO and CPO, contributing not only to research and model development, but also to strategic decisions related to product evolution and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, improve, and validate advanced mathematical and quantitative models for investment strategies.
  • Analyze large datasets to extract signals, optimize parameters, and improve risk-adjusted returns.
  • Work closely with the CEO and CPO on strategy design, research priorities, and model evaluation.
  • Translate quantitative insights into practical, implementable improvements.
  • Continuously refine models based on performance data and market behavior

Requirements

  • PhD (or near completion) in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a closely related quantitative field. Candidates who have not yet completed their PhD must finish it before September, ideally before June.
  • Strong mathematical foundations (probability, statistics, optimization, numerical methods, etc.).
  • Solid working knowledge of Excel, including advanced use cases.
  • Experience handling and analyzing large datasets.
  • English level B2 or higher.
  • Strong analytical mindset and autonomy.
  • A backround in quantitative finance is desirable but not necessary.
