The Challenge 

At Wallapop, we care deeply about our customers and are dedicated to creating value for them. Your mission in this role is to elevate our Direct Sales strategy by owning and cultivating strong, durable relationships with top agencies and key brands in Spain (Madrid and Barcelona). You will leverage your strategic market insights to unlock new opportunities. By collaborating with the wider advertising team, you will drive growth and evolve our strategy alongside shifting market needs (e.g., Programmatic).

What You Will Do 

  • Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the Head of Advertising to set ambitious targets, execute the sales strategy, and provide clear visibility on progress and milestones.
  • Relationship Building: Develop a Direct Sales approach that builds optimal relationships with target agencies and brands, converting them into long-term, high-value partners.
  • Market Positioning: Create compelling performance case studies and organize roadshows that position Wallapop as a premium destination for top-tier brands.
  • Operational Excellence: Manage the day-to-day operations of Direct Sales, aligning work processes to achieve high-performance campaigns and meet revenue goals.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead sales improvement initiatives to increase effectiveness and strengthen our sales methodologies and processes.

What We're Looking For

  • Sales Expertise: Experience in digital and programmatic sales, with a clear understanding of the Spanish advertising market and ecosystem.
  • Communication & Connection: Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills. You have a demonstrated ability to build trust and nurture long-term relationships with external partners.
  • Stakeholder Management: The ability to make decisions involving multiple stakeholders (Wallapop users, brands, agencies, internal teams) while demonstrating clear customer-centricity.
  • Service Mindset: Strong customer service skills with a genuine drive to solve problems and create value for your clients.
  • Language Skills: Full professional proficiency in spoken and written Spanish is required.

This is a Madrid-based role, with regular travel to Barcelona for meetings with customers and teammates.

What does the hiring process for this position look like? **Please, note that all interviews take place remotely over hangouts.**

  1. Intro Call - run by talent acquisition, focus on providing more information about the role and the company as well as going over your experience, motivation, and expectations. This usually takes 45-60 minutes.
  2. Case Study Submission - you will be assigned a task to submit within 5 up to 7 days where you will be able to showcase your expertise / technical skills required for the role.
  3. Expertise Interview - run by the hiring team, focused on the required core skills and the ability to deliver in a given context. This usually takes 60-90 minutes.
  4. Stakeholder Interview - run by relevant stakeholders reflecting the reality of the context of the role, focus on the ability to collaborate & deliver in a cross-functional set-up. This usually takes 60 minutes.
  5. Culture Interview - run by culture interviewers, focus on adherence to Wallapop's purpose and business proposition. This usually takes 60 minutes. 
  6. Offer - should you be the right candidate, your offer will be discussed over a call with talent acquisition and will then be confirmed in writing.
