ROLE SUMMARY:
King's College School Soto de Viñuelas, a leading British international and IB school in Madrid, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Induction Primary Teacher to join our Primary team on a full-time, immediate-start basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career teacher or a practitioner seeking high-quality induction support within a well-established and supportive school environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the English National Curriculum.
- Assess, monitor, and support pupil progress, providing meaningful feedback and reporting.
- Work collaboratively with year-group teams and contribute to wider school life.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Engage in professional development as part of the school's induction and mentoring programme.
- Communicate effectively with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
- Uphold the school's values and commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Holds a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- Has experience working with primary-aged pupils (placement or post-qualification).
- Demonstrates strong classroom management and a reflective, growth-oriented approach to teaching.
- Shows enthusiasm, flexibility, and a commitment to child-centred learning.
- Is eager to learn and develop professionally within a structured induction environment.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in an international or British curriculum school is advantageous but not essential.
