About the role

The team is currently recruiting a Product Owner to manage the operational flow for our app development squad. Your primary goal is to ensure swift project advancement and that all product decisions and the roadmap clearly support our business objectives.

Functioning as the squad's core coordinator, you will be responsible for defining outputs from initial concepts, synchronizing cross-functional efforts, and maintaining transparency and accountability through JIRA tracking.

This is a main responsibility role which aims to lead and own the App Business Unit of Adnovation.

Your mission

Your mission is to be the end-to-end owner of product delivery and strategy for the app squad. This involves:

• Leading Delivery: Taking the lead on sprint organization, backlog management, standup execution and confirming all deliverables meet deadlines. You will maintain operational transparency by mastering our key project management tools (JIRA).
• Strategic Planning: Converting high-level business objectives and product visions into a clear, prioritized, and executable roadmap. Based on data and analytics, you will collaborate closely with UX, Dev, to accurately scope and prioritize all features.
• Fostering Alignment: Serving as the communication hub, keeping all parties -from developers to stakeholders- informed and synchronized. You must ensure the team understands not just what they are building, but why, linking their work directly to OKRs.
• Quality & Monitoring: Ensuring high functional and UX standards for every release, and actively tracking the feature rollout impact using analytics platforms (Appsflyer, Amplitude, Firebase, Looker or equivalents).
• Experimentation: Be the lead in the A/B tests strategy for the entire user's flow and push notifications strategy.
• Benchmarking & Market Research: Alongside the marketing team, analyze competitors and identify best practices in monetization, retention, and user experience.
• Actionable Insights: Alongside other analytics stakeholders, transform key performance metrics (LTV, retention, churn) into concrete action plans.
• Optimization: Continuously seeking to enhance team performance and process efficiency through regular retrospectives and velocity tracking.

Tasks:

• You will run the day-to-day machine of the app squad:
• Lead and organize all team planning.
• Facilitate cross-functional synergy between design/UX, development and growth/marketing to drive launch success, thereby maintaining high alignment among all key contributors.
• Conduct mandatory release validation (pre/post deployment).
• Own the maintenance of the JIRA backlog and roadmap.
• Verify and align feature specs with other stakeholders.
• Capture and document all feature details, learnings, and performance data.
• Provide transparent updates on status, obstacles, and outcomes to stakeholders.

Requirements:

• We are looking for a seasoned Product professional with 4+ years in mobile/tech product leadership and experience in consumer subscription apps.
• You must be an organized and effective executor, proficient in Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban), and accustomed to collaborating with diverse teams (UX/Dev/Data).
• Essential skills include a solid understanding of the mobile app lifecycle, comfort with analytics dashboards and experience working with analytical tools (Amplitude, Firebase, Appsflyer, Bigquery, etc.), and the ability to convert metrics (A/B testing, OKRs, retention) into tactical plans. Experience with RevenueCat and SQL and/or Python skills are nice-to-have.
  Technical high-level understanding of the mobile app environment.
• This role requires excellent communication and an established presence in Barcelona (hybrid) (or willingness to relocate).
• Proficiency in English & Spanish.
