About Our Client
Our client operates in the renewable energy sector and is creating a new strategic engineering role to strengthen its technical capabilities. The position will consolidate standards, quality, compliance, and efficiency across all project phases.
Job Description
- Define basic and detailed engineering for projects and facilities.
- Select technologies, equipment, and technical solutions aligned with project needs.
- Prepare technical specifications, reports, drawings, and engineering documentation.
- Evaluate alternatives to optimise CAPEX and OPEX.
- Supervise construction execution, equipment installation, and ensure regulatory & quality compliance.
- Coordinate EPCs, external engineering firms, suppliers, and contractors, tracking timelines, costs, and risks.
- Lead commissioning and performance testing, validating key operational parameters and enabling knowledge transfer to O&M.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement (pilots, testing, emerging technologies) and stay current on regulations and certification.
The Successful Applicant
- Education: Degree in Industrial, Chemical, Energy, Mechanical Engineering or similar; Master's in renewables, industrial processes, or project management is a plus.
- 12+ years in process engineering, industrial plants, or renewable energy
- Experience as head of engineering or similar in utilities, EPCs, construction, water/recycling.
- Technical competencies: Process design (PFD, P&ID), equipment sizing, and industrial regulations (ATEX, safety, environmental); project management (PMI), EPC, commissioning.
