Experienced English Teacher

with an aptitude for teaching Young Learners

Part Time: 4-10 hours per week – midday classes

Location: Valencia, Spain

Due to continued growth, we have a part time teaching position available for the current academic year for a creative, dynamic, reliable teacher who takes pride in their work and has experience of and an aptitude for teaching young learners. You will be joining a team of over fifty professionals delivering fun, engaging classes to pupils of all levels and all ages. This position is suitable for someone who has availability during the daytime or would like a position that has the potential for more hours in the future – please specify your current and potential availability on the application form.

About Lenguas Vivas

Lenguas Vivas is one of the largest and most established academy chains in the city of Valencia. Founded almost thirty-five years ago we now have well over two and a half thousand students studying with us annually in our four centres and in ten schools across the city, as well as in a number of universities and businesses. We have built up an excellent reputation as an ISO accredited organisation and are the only Cambridge Platinum centre in the Valencia region, and one of only thirteen in Spain. For the most recent academic year our students rated their satisfaction at over ninety percent and ninety-two percent of our staff responded positively to the question "Would you recommend Lenguas Vivas as a place to work?"

New teachers are assigned a mentor to help them adapt to our systems and procedures and we provide ongoing professional training through workshops and observations which help teachers further develop their skills. Qualifications

Applicants must have permission to work in the EU or hold a valid work permit for employment in the EU.

Only those applicants which meet the following minimum requirements will be considered for this position:

§ E.U. nationals or those holding a valid Spanish work permit.

§ A provable advanced level of English.

§ A recognised teaching qualification.

§ A minimum one full year of recent experience in TEFL.

§ Be reliable, hard-working, and serious about the profession.

§ Enthusiasm to be part of a successful and growing organisation.

§ Flexibility to provide cover for absence within agree availability.

Additional desirable requirements are a plus:

§ University degree.

§ Experience with Cambridge exams.

§ Conversational level of Spanish.

§ Transferable skills from previous studies or work experience outside of teaching.

Salary and Benefits

§ Above industry average rates with pay scales based on experience.

§ Extra pay for any additional hours worked.

§ Academioc calendar with two weeks holiday at Christmas, ten days at Easter as well as all local and national holidays.

§ Accrued holidays paid at the end of the academic year.

§ Monthly workshops, seminars, and teacher training courses during the academic year

§ We work from Monday to Friday. We do not have classes on the weekends.
