Science For Change (SFC)

is a knowledge-based and consultancy enterprise that addresses social, environmental and health challenges through co-creation, collaborative research and citizen science towards social innovation. We manage a diverse portfolio of projects funded by European programs such as Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe, as well as other National, Regional and Local funding schemes, such as international, national, regional and local Public and Private Calls and Tenders. We also have a portfolio of private innovation consultancy projects. Our fields of expertise are many, from sustainability, circular economy, and territorial monitoring, to health, and social sciences and humanities, including the arts. We involve the public in the research process in all our projects to co-produce new knowledge, co-create innovations accepted by all, and inform public policies to improve society. We also use innovative science communication to democratise science, using the arts or digital means to reach wider audiences. 

Help us bridge the gap between Science and Society

We are looking for a trustworthy, energetic, creative, proactive, and enthusiastic student to join our Communication Team. If you are passionate about
transforming complex scientific concepts into engaging stories and want to gain real-world experience in citizen science

, this is the place for you. Your main mission will be to support the development of strategies and content for Science For Change's corporate communication channels and our diverse European and local projects. You will work autonomously while being part of a highly interdisciplinary team, contributing to raising the visibility of science that matters

Role and Reponsibilities:

You will support the Communication Team in the following areas:

1. Social Media & Digital Strategy

• Social Media Content Creation:

Generate engaging content for social media platforms (LinkedIn, IG) aligned with SFC mission and vision to raise visibility for the company and its specific projects (e.g.,
OdourCollect

).
- Community Management:

Implement SFC's communication strategy across online and offline platforms.
- Analytics:

Contribute to social media analysis and monitoring to optimize our reach.
- Digital Marketing:

Apply knowledge of web analysis and SEO/SEM positioning to improve our digital footprint.

2. Science Content Creation & Storytelling

• Science Translation:

Prepare informative and educational materials, converting complex scientific concepts into comprehensive, fun, and easy-to-understand texts and graphs.
- Media Relations:

Write press releases and feature articles related to our activities, digital tools, and events.
- Web Management:

Develop and update content for the SFC webpage (WordPress).
- Communication and Dissemination:

Design and disseminate communication materials for both online and offline platforms.

3. Strategic Support & Engagement

• Support campaigns and engagement of specialized networks:

Support the design and execution of communication and engagement campaigns or events within the framework of European or local projects with other Project Managers if needed.
- Newsletter: Contribute to the writing up of the SFC newsletter on a monthly basis and newsletter from private and public-funded projects.
- Strategic Planning:

Support the design of communication plans for SFC's various digital tools.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Currently coursing a Master's Degree in the field of Communication.
• Relevant experience and/or knowledge in social media strategies.
• Great ability to use Miro, Canva and Wordpress.
• Interest in social media analysis.
• Knowledge in Digital Marketing: web analysis, SEO / SEM positioning.
• Enthusiastic about Citizen Science and Communication and the interconnection of science and society.

Interpersonal skills

• Great motivation to communicate about innovative projects related to environment, sustainability, health, citizen science, science communication and co-creation.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Professional command of English, Catalan and Spanish.
• Highly organized, energetic, creative and with exceptional attention to detail.
• Proactivity and take initiative.
• Interpersonal skills to interact in a professional and kind manner in multicultural environments, including the SFC team and external partners, clients and organisations.

Working conditions

• Working Hours:

Part-time (20 hours/week).
- University-Business Collaboration Agreement.

Paid intership.
- Salary:

Competitive, based on experience and skills.
- Start Date:

January 2026.
