As part of our continued growth, we are offering an exciting opportunity to join our client-focused accounting and financial reporting team in Barcelona as a
Junior Accountant

, servicing a portfolio of multi-country client entities, primarily in Europe.

Key Responsibilities

• Record Financial Transactions

: Ensure precise and timely entry of financial transactions into the accounting system, maintaining up-to-date and error-free records.
- Process Invoices:

Verify and process invoices for payment, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained and payments are made on time.
- Manage Accounts Receivable:

Follow up on outstanding invoices and coordinate with clients to ensure timely payments.
- Generate Financial Reports:

Prepare detailed monthly and quarterly financial reports, providing insights and analysis to support decision-making processes.
- Prepare Financial Statements:

Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and cash flow statements.
- Support Audits:

Provide necessary documentation and explanations, facilitating a smooth and efficient audit process.
- Collect and review accounting data:

Gather financial information such as bank statements, sales invoices, vendor invoices, and payroll records, ensuring accuracy and completeness before processing.
- Issue sales orders and invoices:

Generate sales orders and invoices, ensuring correct VAT rates are applied and compliance with local regulations.
- Verify travel expenses:

Check employee travel expense claims, record them properly, and verify compliance with company policy and accurate documentation.

Qualifications, Skills & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Qualified accountant or currently pursuing a professional qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA).
• Minimum of 3 years' accounting experience, including month-end closing.
• Strong experience with Xero, Xledger, and other accounting software is a plus.
• Proven ability to process large volumes of invoices and data in Excel with a high degree of accuracy.
• Strong numeracy skills and solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines consistently.
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving capability.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
• Strong task and deadline management skills
• Ability to develop and implement automated processes for clients.
• English is mandatory; Spanish and other European languages are considered a plus.
