Location: West Africa (Country-Specific Opportunities)
Lead in-country logistics operations for a leading international shipping and logistics company, overseeing teams and delivering high-impact supply chain solutions.
We're partnering with a globally recognised shipping and logistics provider that delivers reliable, end-to-end freight services across West Africa. As part of their growth in key markets, they are hiring Logistics Managers to take charge of local operations in specific countries across the region.
What You Will Do
- Manage daily logistics activities within your assigned country, ensuring service excellence and operational efficiency
- Lead and develop a team of supervisors, coordinators, officers, and admin staff
- Build strong client relationships—handling daily communication with existing clients and engaging with potential new ones
- Coordinate operational cashflow with Finance and support timely file closures and collections
- Establish and implement logistics procedures from the ground up
- Ensure full compliance with local regulations, internal procedures, and international standards
- Monitor performance, meet key operational targets, and help grow the company's presence in the local logistics market
- Contribute to HSQE initiatives, participate in regular committee meetings, and maintain safety and quality standards
What You'll Bring to the Table
- 5–7 years of experience in shipping and logistics operations
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Proven ability to manage technical logistics functions with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and client relationship management
- Knowledge of HSQE systems and regulatory compliance
- Fluency in English is essential; French is a plus but not required
