About the position
We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our team in Geneva. You will work closely with the Senior Accountant and Credit Controller, supporting a wide range of accounting and financial activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional seeking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment and develop a broad skill set in accounting and finance.
This is a full-time, on site position (no remote work).
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Senior Accounting with daily bookkeeping and monthly closing activities
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely processing and accurate records
- Handle employee expense reports and perform bank reconciliations
- Assist with payroll accounting and salary management, coordinating with external providers
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation
- Assist with Intercompany reconciliations, ensuring correct subsidiary treatment
- Monitor income and expenditures to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
- Support the audit process by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests
- Assist with CIT annual declaration
Required:
- 3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role
- Educational background in finance, accounting or business
- Proactive, reliable and detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and improvement
- Discreet and professional when handling sensitive information
- Knowledge of QuickBooks, although not required, will be positively valued
- Already living and working in the Geneva area with valid work permit
Language Skills:
- Fluent in English
- Intermediate level of French
