Brief description of the role:

As an
Accounting Specialist Spain
, you support the daily accounting operations of Atlante Iberia, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial records. Reporting to the Finance Business Partner and working closely with the local Finance team and HQ, you contribute to accounting processes, statutory reporting, and financial compliance in a dynamic and international environment.

You create value by ensuring that all accounting transactions are accurately recorded and compliant with Atlante's standards, local regulations, and IFRS principles. Through your contribution to closing activities, statutory reporting, and coordination with HQ and external advisors, you help guarantee the reliability of financial information supporting business decisions. Your attention to detail, proactive mindset, and collaboration foster financial discipline, transparency, and continuous improvement within Atlante Spain.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage general accounting and statutory books activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, intercompany reconciliations, and fixed assets.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities (P&L, balance sheet, cash flows) in compliance with local GAAP and IFRS.
  • Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and management reporting for Atlante Spain.
  • Coordinate with Atlante HQ Finance and external advisors to ensure timely and compliant financial reporting.
  • Fulfil requests from statutory auditors and external bodies.
  • Support tax-related activities and assist with general fiscal matters in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure accurate use of accounting systems (SAP) and contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and tools.

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of proven experience in accounting.
  • Solid knowledge of general accounting and statutory activities.
  • Experience working with SAP is mandatory.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel.
  • Strong ability to manage deadlines and priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written) required; Italian is considered a plus.
  • Comfortable working in an international and multicultural environment.

  • Area of responsibility: Accounting.
  • Geographic scope: Spain, with coordination and support to HQ.
  • Key interactions: Head of Accounting, Local Finance Team, HQ Finance.
  • External representation: External advisors, vendors, and administrative counterparts.

Reports to
: Finance Business Partner Iberia, functionally Global Head of Accounting based in Milan.

: Barcelona (with a flexible home-working policy)
