Software Solutions & Technology Manager

HP LFP is a leading provider of LF printing solutions to AEC & PSP customers. We are committed to delivering innovative and reliable products to our customers worldwide. We are seeking a talented and experienced Project Manager to lead SW development activities.

As the SW Development Project Manager for PSP Solutions, you will lead a team of developers and Technical Leads responsible for creating cutting-edge software solutions for the monitoring and control of our hardware devices as well as for growing the demand of the PSPs. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Large Format PMO, Firmware, SWQA, CED, and Product to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software products while influencing the domains and segments with your knowledge. You will also collaborate with other HP groups, such as the Print OS platform and Industrial and 3rd party companies (RIP vendors, e-commerce platforms) that develop SW used by our customers to ensure the best integration and amazing experience.

ResponsibilitiesProject management

• Manage headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing projects, ensuring appropriate resource allocation and adherence to goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets as per program and organizational roadmaps..
• Communicates project status and escalates issues to direct managers, program managers, and internal and external partners.
• Manages relationships with outsourced partners and suppliers, setting expectations regarding deliverables, product quality, schedules, and costs; ensures that team members are effectively communicating and collaborating with outsourced resources.
• Partner to win with other Labs/businesses/sites maximizing leverage and sharing in both directions.
• Proactively identify and initiate improvements in team and lab processes to increase efficiency and tackle cost reduction opportunities.

LF Printing Business

• PSP SW team's budget planning, execution and deviations management.
• Understand LF printing business model, financials, customers and market trends.
• Assess new product proposals to estimate development feasibility, schedule and resources needed.
• Define, propose and lead best development outsourcing strategies.
• Align team strategy with other PMs and key stakeholders.
• Participate in the LFP management team as part of the wider organization.
• Actively participate in SW Solutions Section staff influencing and contributing to the continuous improvement of Large Format strategies, processes, and performance.

People management

• Act as HP's role model for leadership principles and practices.
• Manage a team of highly qualified developers and technical program managers and outsourced services support.
• Support all HR processes with strong focus on gathering top talent.
• Provides people-care management for assigned team members, including hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching for growth and career development.
• Ensures that proper knowledge and career development tools are in place to support ongoing team member and process development.
• Maintain a self-organized team with a Lean&Agile mindset.

Education, Skills & ExperienceRequired

• Master's degree in engineering field (Computer Engineer, Telecommunication Engineer, Electronics Engineer or equivalent)
• Typically, 6 or more years of related work experience
• Strong leadership, interpersonal relationship and people development skills including coaching, team building, and conflict resolution
• Advanced project management skills including time and risk management, resource prioritization, and project structuring.
• Success in collaboration with partners and/or organizations
• Motivation, proactivity and game changer attitude
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence skills.
• Advanced business acumen, technical knowledge, and extensive knowledge in applications and technologies.
• Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills.

• Previous people management / team leader role experience.
• Understanding of LFP business model, financials, customers and trends in each of the segments we are targeting.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in process improvements.
• Strong teambuilding skills
• Ability to mentor and influence engineering teams to keep growing competences and job satisfaction.
• Very good understanding of product development processes
• Deep technical competency and thought leadership; flexibility to leverage existing proficiencies or adopt new frameworks.
• Excellent at managing ambiguity. Masterful ability to break down big, complex problems (demanding requirements, bugs, etc.) into smaller parts with tractable solutions and clear iterations.
