Position Summary
We are looking for a
Biomedical Engineer
or
Neuroscientist
with
Expertise in fNIRS
to join our research team at INAB in the Barcelona laboratories. The ideal candidate should hold a Master´s degree, although a PhD in Engineering or a related field is highly desirable, as well as research experience in areas such as perception, consciousness, cognition, or emotions.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the fNIRS system and be responsible for the processing of recorded data.
- Design and develop experiments.
- Process and analyze data using advanced statistical and artificial intelligence techniques.
- Write and publish scientific articles in high-impact specialized journals.
- Present research findings at international conferences.
Requirements
- Master or PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Cognitive Neuroscience or related field.
- Research experience in the fields of perception, consciousness, thinking, and emotions.
- Track record of writing and publishing scientific articles.
- Experience in presenting research findings at international conferences.
- Skills in experimental design, execution and data processing.
- Advanced knowledge in artificial intelligence, statistics, and data analysis.
Specific Knowledge
Extensive experience in:
- Functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS)
Experience in one or more of the following techniques:
- Electroencephalography (EEG)
- Biosensors
- Hyperscanning
Start Date and Conditions
- Start date: January/ February 2026
