Position Summary

We are looking for a
Biomedical Engineer

or
Neuroscientist

with
Expertise in fNIRS

to join our research team at INAB in the Barcelona laboratories. The ideal candidate should hold a Master´s degree, although a PhD in Engineering or a related field is highly desirable, as well as research experience in areas such as perception, consciousness, cognition, or emotions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the fNIRS system and be responsible for the processing of recorded data.
  • Design and develop experiments.
  • Process and analyze data using advanced statistical and artificial intelligence techniques.
  • Write and publish scientific articles in high-impact specialized journals.
  • Present research findings at international conferences.

Requirements

  • Master or PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Cognitive Neuroscience or related field.
  • Research experience in the fields of perception, consciousness, thinking, and emotions.
  • Track record of writing and publishing scientific articles.
  • Experience in presenting research findings at international conferences.
  • Skills in experimental design, execution and data processing.
  • Advanced knowledge in artificial intelligence, statistics, and data analysis.

Specific Knowledge

Extensive experience in: 

  • Functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS)

Experience in one or more of the following techniques:

  • Electroencephalography (EEG)
  • Biosensors
  • Hyperscanning

Start Date and Conditions
