(During week 8:30-15:50) Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (8:30-13:30), month of July (8:15-15:45) Meetings on Wednesdays from 16:00 to 17:00 , and the TWILIGHTS 16:00 to 18:00 one per term.

Role Overview
Oakley College is seeking a Cambridge English teacher who can also coordinate the Saturday School and lead the Summer School in July. The candidate will teach Cambridge English classes from Tuesday to Thursday and will use Fridays exclusively for administrative work related to both programmes. This position is suitable for a teacher with strong leadership potential who wishes to contribute to both academic learning and programme coordination.
Main Responsibilities
1. Teaching Responsibilities (Tuesday to Friday)
- Teach Cambridge English across levels from pre-A1 to C1, including Starters, Movers, Flyers, Key English Test, Preliminary English Test, and First Certificate in English, depending on assignment.
- Prepare structured lesson plans, classroom resources, digital materials, worksheets, and examination practice tasks.
- Monitor student progress through written assessments, speaking tasks, quizzes, and practice tests.
- Provide targeted intervention for students who require additional support.
- Maintain accurate attendance and assessment records.
- Participate in meetings of the English department and contribute to shared resource development.
2. Saturday Responsibilities: Administration and Coordination
Programme Administration
- Prepare and update all student registers, staff duty schedules, planning templates, and timetables for Saturday School and Summer School.
- Prepare newsletters, calendars, handbooks, brochures, report templates, and teaching materials.
- Organise digital folders and ensure all documentation is accessible and up to date.
- Staff Recruitment and Coordination
- Recruit teachers and teaching assistants for both programmes.
- Prepare induction materials and confirm procedures for the first day of each programme.
- Communicate with candidates and schedule and coordinate interviews.
- Marketing and Communication
- Produce written and visual content for the school website and social media accounts, especially Instagram.
- Create flyers, promotional brochures, videos, and other marketing materials for both programmes.
- Prepare written communication for families and for the school community.
- Operational Planning
- Book activities, trips, workshops, and external providers for the Summer School.
- Prepare risk assessments for all activities and trips.
- Coordinate with the administration and maintenance staff to ensure the readiness of all resources and materials.
- Prepare all Cambridge English administrative tasks including mock examinations, registration lists, and meeting logistics.
3. Saturday School Responsibilities (September to June)
- Before the Start of the Academic Year
- Create new student groups based on end-of-year reports.
- Recruit teachers and teaching assistants.
- Prepare the Saturday School handbook and arrange for printing.
- Prepare the topic plan and vocabulary list and publish them online.
- Confirm training day details and all procedures for the first day.
- Prepare and publish promotional material for the new academic year.
- Order necessary materials and ensure all administrative documents are ready.
- Create duty schedules and staff timetables.
- Confirm late staff and student registrations.
- During the Academic Year
- Review the integration of late-enrolled students and monitor initial progress.
- Conduct classroom visits to monitor teaching and learning quality.
- Support teachers and teaching assistants professionally.
- Lead fire drill procedures.
- Organise Christmas activities and the visit from Santa Claus.
- Prepare report templates, review and sign student reports.
- Write and publish semester newsletters.
- Greet families at arrival and dismissal and respond to queries.
- Organise Cambridge English meetings, mock examinations, and all enrolment processes.
- Coordinate assemblies and rehearsals.
- End of Year
- Prepare end-of-year report templates and sign reports.
- Create the following year's calendar and Saturday School brochure.
- Publish enrolment details for the next year.
- Publish all Summer School information including dates, timetables, activities, brochures, videos, and enrolment forms.
- Prepare Summer School promotional materials.
4. Summer School Responsibilities
- Completed on Saturdays (Preparation)
- Building the activities timetable with the Summer School leadership team.
- Contacting companies, booking workshops and trips, and confirming providers.
- Selecting the annual theme for the Summer School.
- Producing marketing materials and brochures.
- Creating class groups in collaboration with the administration team.
- Recruiting teachers and teaching assistants.
- Preparing lesson plan templates, timetables, staff duty schedules, and planning-time schedules.
- Preparing all documentation required for the first day of the Summer School.
- Completing risk assessments for all trips and on-site activities.
- Managing late staff and student confirmations.
Preparing content for the Summer School Instagram account.
July — Full-time On-site Leadership (08:15 to 15:45 each day)
- Lead the Summer School daily.
- Welcome and support families at arrival and dismissal.
- Visit classrooms and monitor teaching and activities.
- Lead planned activities including cooking sessions, karaoke, craft workshops, and clubs.
- Support and coordinate teachers and teaching assistants.
- Lead weekly meetings for staff.
- Organise excursions and ensure compliance with all risk assessments.
- Provide daily communication to parents and resolve issues effectively.
- Manage regular updates for the Summer School Instagram account.

Essential Experience & Knowledge
The successful candidate must demonstrate experience and knowledge in the following areas:
- Professional Leadership:
Experience providing leadership and coordination to secure the success and improvement of a school or educational program.
- Policy Implementation:
Knowledge and experience in implementing the policies and procedures adopted by a board of directors and ensuring all staff follow them.
- Recruitment and Vision:
Responsibility for the learning, recruitment of staff and students, and actively realising the ongoing vision for the development of the Summer school.
- Program Organization:
Experience in setting up the organization of an educational course prior to its start.
- Teaching & Learning Oversight:
Experience in monitoring the development of lessons and activities planned through regular drop-ins in classrooms.
- Parent Partnership:
Appreciation and experience in maintaining a successful partnership with Parents as Partners in the learning process.

- Skill in confirming procedures for the first day with staff.
- Ability to support teachers and ensure clear delegation of tasks and responsibilities.

- Ability to ensure that all staff know their obligations and duties and are committed to Summer school objectives.
B. Organizational and Administrative Skills
- Strong ability to plan, coordinate, and organize activities, including:
- Organising the activities timetable with Laura around February-March.
- Contacting companies to book trips when necessary.
- Overseeing all Summer school trips/activities and their risk assessment.
- Running activities as planned (e.g., master chef, karaoke).
- Choosing a theme for the Summer School.
- Creating class groups with the admin team.
- Proficiency in managing necessary resources:
- Coordinating and ordering any teaching materials necessary.
- Creating a lesson plan template and a staff weekly timetable for staff to fill in.
- Ability to manage various logistical requirements, including updating the duty timetable and creating the staff planning time rota.
- Ability to collaborate with admin to ensure readiness for Day 1 (registers, tags, data protection, etc.).
C. Communication and Community Engagement
- Ability to create marketing materials with support from Laura and David to be posted on the school website by Easter.
- Skill in running the Summer school and its Instagram.
- Ability to develop good working relationships with directors, staff, students, parents, and the community.
- Availability for parents at the gate at the beginning and the end of the day for issues that might arise.
- Availability for staff throughout the week via email and phone.
