Senior EU Lawyer & Competition

At Marimón Abogados, we are looking for a senior lawyer [with between 5 and 10 years of experience] to join our Competition and EU Law Department team, either in our Madrid or Barcelona office.

Marimón's Competition and EU Law team was created in 2016 and, since then, has grown and established itself as one of the leading departments in Spain, as recognized by the main legal directories.

We are talking about a team of six lawyers, based in Madrid and Barcelona, with complementary skills, a strong commitment to specialization, and an in-depth knowledge of our clients' business realities, with a particular emphasis on the agri-food and consumer goods, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, energy, sports, and transportation sectors.

All this, combined with a solid base of national and international clients, has allowed us to participate in several of the most innovative and complex cases in recent years before the competition authorities and the Spanish and European courts.

We are looking for a dynamic and open-minded person who wants to join the project and help us continue to strengthen our practice in all areas related to Competition and EU Law: merger control and foreign investments; abuses, cartels, and vertical agreements; compliance programs; state aid and FSR regulations; Unfair Competition and Food Chain Law; EU Law; regulated sectors; damage claims; DMA and DSA regulations; etc.

Requirements

  • Experience: between 5 and 10 years in competition law in a top-tier law firm in Spain or Brussels.
  • Education: Law degree (a degree in Business Administration or Economics is a plus). Specialization master's degree or master's degree in Competition Law and European Law.
  • Skills: Ability to manage matters independently and maintain direct relationships with clients. Experience in training and supervising junior lawyers.
  • Languages: Professional level of English and Spanish; other languages are a plus.
  • Skills: Ability to work in a team, adaptability, and motivation to grow professionally in a dynamic environment.
