Title:
Field Clinical Specialist – Peripheral Interventions (Vascular)

Location(s):
Remote, preferably based in Madrid

About The Team
You'll join the Peripheral Interventions (Vascular) division at Boston Scientific, a global leader in minimally invasive medical technologies. Our team is dedicated to advancing treatment options for patients with vascular diseases, working closely with healthcare professionals to improve outcomes through innovation and clinical excellence.

About The Role
As a Field Clinical Specialist (FCS), you will play a critical role in developing clinical relationships, supporting procedural success, and driving therapy adoption. This role offers high field exposure, particularly in the operating room, and is ideal for professionals with a strong clinical background looking to grow within a purpose-driven organization. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with Account Managers and Product Management to open and grow accounts. This is a career-building opportunity to make a direct impact on patient care through cutting-edge vascular therapies.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Delivering hands-on clinical support during vascular procedures—both in person and remotely—to ensure successful therapy adoption.
  • Acting as the primary clinical expert in the operating room, proactively identifying upcoming cases and engaging with physicians.
  • Advising clinicians on product attributes, procedural techniques, and optimal use of Boston Scientific therapies.
  • Building strong and credible relationships with physicians, nurses, and technicians through consistent clinical engagement.
  • Collaborating with Account Managers to develop account strategies and expand therapy usage.
  • Providing structured field intelligence (e.g., clinical trends, market dynamics, competitive insights) to Marketing and Sales leadership.
  • Supporting tenders and key customer interactions by offering high-value clinical input.
  • Executing planned activities in Sales Cloud and participating in routine business reviews.
  • Leading training initiatives including product in-servicing, procedural education, and workshops for customers and internal teams.
  • Contributing to broader EMEA clinical education events, including physician training and congresses.

This is a field-based position with approximately 80% travel across the assigned territory. Travel is primarily local but may include occasional overnight stays.
What Are We Looking For

  • Degree in Nursing, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, or an equivalent clinical discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience providing clinical or procedural support in an operating room environment.
  • Proven ability to conduct high-quality clinical conversations with healthcare professionals.
  • Fluent in Spanish with a working level of English.
  • Ability to travel approximately 80% of the time in a customer-facing role.
  • Based preferably in the Madrid area.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with endovascular or peripheral vascular therapies.
  • Familiarity with sales cycles or tenders in a clinical setting.
  • Understanding of hospital procurement pathways and decision-making structures.
  • Knowledge of clinical evaluation processes and therapy development strategies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, including influence without authority.

What We Can Offer

  • Permanent contract with strong long-term growth prospects
  • Company car and tools for mobility
  • Comprehensive training and continuous learning programs
  • Opportunity to shape therapy adoption and patient outcomes
  • High autonomy with the backing of a supportive team
  • Mentoring and career development within a global organization
  • A mission-driven culture focused on advancing science for life
