Insectius builds a decentralized network of modular Black Soldier Fly (BSF) farms (40ft containers) powered by our farm-management SaaS, We're hiring a hands-on CFO to secure public funding in the EU/Spain, lead private fundraising, run financial control, and scale a franchise/integrator model with transparent unit economics and repeatable playbooks.

What you'll do

  • Lead non-dilutive financing: identify, apply for, and manage EU & national grants/subsidies (e.g., Horizon Europe, EIC, CDTI, ENISA, NextGen).
  • Drive equity/venture-debt rounds end-to-end: materials, datarooms, diligence, negotiation, closing.
  • Own finance ops: budgeting, FP&A, J&L, cash runway, unit economics, pricing, revenue recognition, audits, tax, and compliance.
  • Build investor relations: monthly/quarterly reporting, KPI dashboards, board packs, covenant tracking.
  • Partner with founders on strategy, expansion, and M&A/partnership modeling.

What you'll bring

  • Proven experience in startup finance (Seed–Series B) with wins in grants & private capital.
  • Controller/FP&A depth with excellent modeling and KPI discipline.
  • Strong stakeholder management (founders, VCs, lenders, public agencies).
  • Fluency in English & Spanish; Catalan a plus. Experience in agri/biotech/manufacturing is nice-to-have.
