Technician Manufacturing 2

Build upper level assemblies and/or sub-assemblies used in microprocessor based systems.  Modify standard communications equipment and fabricate custom equipment to meet the customer's special requirements.

• Primary:  Manufacture upper level assemblies and/or sub-assemblies used in microprocessor based systems:
  • assemble components used to make sub-assemblies;
  • install panels upper level sub-assemblies;
  • assemble access panels;
  • perform detailed wiring.
• Secondary:  Fabricate and/or modify products:
  • page/party stations;
  • printed circuit boards;
  • cable assemblies;
  • wiring harnesses;
  • wire wrap boards;
  • relay panels;
  • cabinet sub-assemblies;
  • cabinet assembly.
• Correct problems arising during fabrication and/or final testing of equipment.
• Lay out and fabricate custom metal work.
• Provide support/training to Technicians I, as needed.
• Review all documentation for potential errors and omissions.
• Other duties as assigned

• • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Five plus years of assembly experience and ability to follow written assembly procedures, assembly drawings, wire lists and wiring diagrams.
  • GAI-Tronics product knowledge helpful.   

  Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 35 lbs. ;
  • Must be able to distinguish and identify different components/part colors.
